About once a month the jazz trio I have with my wife Adelle plays at the Prairie Ink Restaurant inside the McNally Robinson Bookstore here in Winnipeg.
We play a collection of mostly jazz standards with a few appropriate pop tunes thrown in for flair. During the summer it is a more intimate crowd, due to vacations and lake time. Still the reception was warm and the gig lots of fun.
A nice change was this comment left on my Facebook Page by someone who was there that evening.
Yes we get paid for the work we do, yes we play for the love of it and yes, we like to hear it for our listeners too!
Next gigs are Sept 13th at Resto Gare and Sept 14th back at Prairie Ink!
